Stuffed Pears
4 ripe pears (with stems removed)
8 strips of FUD Selecto Bacon
4 oz FUD Oaxaca Cheese (shredded)
2 bay leaves
½ cup white wine
1 liter water
5 whole black peppers
3 lemons (juice only)


Peel the pears, and then place them in water with lemon juice to avoid any oxidation.

In a small pot, place the white wine, bay leaves and black peppers; boil for 10 minutes. Place the pears in the boiling mixture, cover, and cook over low to medium heat for 20 minutes.

Once cooked, remove the pears from the pan, then drain and let cool.

Carefully cut out the centers of each pear, leaving enough space to fill with the FUD Oaxaca Cheese strips, which will be inserted later.

Wrap each pear with 2 strips of FUD Selecto Bacon, then place them on a baking sheet lined with greased foil; bake at 350°F until the bacon is lightly cooked. Remove from the oven and fill each pear with FUD Oaxaca Cheese strips.

Before serving the pears, place them back in the oven for a few minutes or until the cheese is slightly melted. Serve immediately.
